My child was kept well informed throughout the procedure.
I gave birth in the labour ward although I had planned to go to the bluebell birth centre which was close that day due shortage of staff.
All the midwives were amazing; they were very supportive, caring and helpful. However, they were clearly very busy, with many parents and babies to attend to.
Appalled by Consultant Dr Richard Morrel’s bizarre behaviour and breech of his own Emergency department’s Philosophy of care …..to “promote good communication of information “. After initial examination-we were not instructed to communicate directly with the X-ray department. We sat and waited another hour + after a 5 hour wait - until I asked the kind Receptionist what was going on. Then again after X-ray-we were just abandoned . When I questioned this I was given no apology from said Dr. We found his manner cold, patronising, arrogant and bordering on Sociopathic .
Waiting time exceeded 4 hours and I was told I would have to wait another hour or two
I was expecting the worst because of media view of the NHS.
However it was the exact opposite, efficient, clean and friendly.
I'm impressed with the attentive and quick service.
Thank you very much.
The staff were pleasant and polite but unfortunately I left there yet again completely demoralised and feeling suicidal.
Advice given was nonsense and I can only conclude that I look stupid and that they think I enjoy waiting for long periods and have nothing better to do.
Because I have adhd, diagnosed about 10 years ago I am suddenly an idiot apparently. I’m disgusted at the lack of understanding.
Attentive, caring and communicative staff without exception. Thank you.
